# Made-to-order jobs: For sales that go through the workshop.

Made-to-order jobs is the Ariadne WMS module that tracks on a stage board every sale that needs work before it’s handed over (for example prescription glasses, repairs or personalized products), from the moment it’s ordered until it’s handed over or shipped. It’s included in every plan, and your company admin switches it on.

## Made-to-order jobs: What it does

- **Orders in the workshop can’t ship by mistake**: [dispatch](https://ariadnewms.com/en/modules/#dispatch-and-manifests) holds them and tells you how many are waiting on the workshop, and packing shows their stage.
- **Stage board** with promised dates and late alerts.
- **You choose which categories or products go through the workshop** and, before switching it on, see the simulated impact over the last 60 days.
- **A customer notice in your own words** (configurable subject and message), ready to copy into your messaging app or open in your email.
- **Workshop and store record progress** from the [Ariadne Scanner app](https://ariadnewms.com/en/app/) by scanning the barcode on the order ticket.
- **Optional backup photo at handover**, saved on the order record.
